Color Me Pink Breast Cancer Run & Silent Auction

The Color Me Pink Breast Cancer Run and Silent Auction will be held Saturday, October 8th at Matter Park

On-Site Registration, Silent Auction, Vendors, & Music begins at 8:00 a.m.
Run Begins at 10:00 a.m.
Cost: $35/Adults - $30/Youth

Packet Pick Up – You can pick up your event packets at Cancer Services of Grant County beginning September 26^th through October 7th at 11:00 am. Any remaining packets can be picked up the morning of the event, October 8th at on-site registration located at Matter Park Shelter #5 (Brown Barn near the start finish line).

Event Packets - In your packet you will receive the following items:

Bib #
Color Me Pink t-shirt
Bag of color for the ending ceremony
Swag bag goodies

Same Day Registration – Registration can be done on site October 8th for the Color Me Pink Breast Cancer Run, but this will not guarantee an event t-shirt and/or swag bag. Always better to register early! In this case, the early bird gets the best swag!!

Parking - There will be parking for the event behind the softball fields as well as by the Gardens. To ensure a parking spot close to the start / finish line, please arrive early. We will begin the Run promptly at 10:00 am, so please come early to enjoy the music, bid in our silent auction, and get your picture taken in our photo booth.

What to bring / wear – CASH! Vendors will open at 8:00 am. We will also have lots of cool silent auction items to bid on. Bidding starts at 8:00 and ends at 10:00 when the Run takes off. Be sure to have your race bib, you will need to have that on in order to participate in the Color Me Pink Breast Cancer Run. No one will be permitted on the course without their race bib. Be creative! Dress Up! Have Fun! There will be prizes!! But don’t wear anything that you don’t want to get full of color!

Other things you might want to bring - *race bib (mandatory) *change of clothes * change of shoes * Color Packets *Towels *Bandana *Garbage Bags (put soiled clothing in) *Camera/Cell Phone – But make sure these are protected from color (possibly a ziplock bag)

RACE ROUTE / COLOR ZONES - The Color Me Pink Breast Cancer Fun Run is an action-packed, scenic, out-and-back course with a few small hills but mostly flat, and will have 3 color stations – resulting in a 6 color blast along the course, and …BUBBLES! The Start / Finish line will be located by the band shellin the back of Matter Park!

DIRECTIONS

From the SOUTH:

Take I-69 North to IN SR 18 West (Exit 64). Take 18 west into Marion and turn RIGHT onto Baldwin Avenue (also known as IN SR 9 N). Take Baldwin Avenue (SR 9) through Marion and turn LEFT at Quarry Road into Matter Park. There is a Beacon Credit Union at the corner of Baldwin Avenue & Quarry Rd. There will also be a sign at this corner directing you into Matter Park.

From the NORTH:

Take I-69 South to IN SR 218 West (exit 73). Follow 218 W turn LEFT at IN SR 9 South. Follow 9 South into Marion. Turn RIGHT at Quarry Road into Matter Park. There is a Beacon Credit Union at the corner of SR 9 and Quarry Rd. There will also be a sign at this corner directing you into Matter Park.

From the EAST:

Take SR 18 west into Marion and turn RIGHT onto Baldwin Avenue (also known as IN SR 9 N). Take Baldwin Avenue (SR 9) through Marion and turn LEFT at Quarry Road into Matter Park. There is a Beacon Credit Union at the corner of Baldwin Avenue & Quarry Road. There will also be a Run for Freedom sign at the corner of this intersection directing you into Matter Park.

From the WEST:

Take SR 18 East into Marion and turn LEFT onto Miller Avenue. Take Miller Avenue to Kem Road. Turn RIGHT onto Kem Road. Take Kem Road to Baldwin Avenure (SR 9), and turn LEFT onto Baldwin Avenue (SR 9). Turn LEFT at Quarry Road into Matter Park. There is a Beacon Credit Union at the corner of Baldwin Avenue & Quarry Rd. There will also be a sign at this corner directing you into Matter Park.
